Trigger Point Therapy

What is remarkable about Trigger Points is that they are hyper irritable points in the muscles that refer pain somewhere else in the body, thus a headache or shoulder pain could be from a TP in the neck. In order for the trigger point to be released a variety of soft tissue approaches are utilized by the therapist. We are able to share self-care techniques that could help you to relieve your own Trigger Points at home or work and we sell tools that can help. (Thercanes, Foam Roller, Physio Balls, Heart tools)

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage works the deeper muscles to release tension in the body, usually chronic tension. This is done with slow strokes and concentrated pressure on the tense area to remove toxins and loosen muscles. Deep tissue massage can result in soreness for a day or two following the massage.

Therapeutic Massage

In our Therapeutic Massage we end up using a variety to techniques to tailer the session to your specific needs. It could include Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, a variety of Stretches to CranioSacral Therapy and perhaps some Manual Lymphatic Drainage. It all depends on what is presenting itself and your preferences.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release MFR stretches the myofascial unit a combination of muscles and the fascia, a thin layer of tissue covering every muscle. When a muscle is injured or strained, the fascia around tightens and can become sticky. This can affect the muscles capacity to do work. Stretching both areas together, the therapist relieves soreness in the muscle and restores the flexibility that results from restoring the fluid capacity of healthy tissue

CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral massage CST involves working from the core of your body outwards. The therapist very gently works the muscles to access this fluid system that surrounds the brain and spinal cord and is constantly pumping essential information throughout the central nervous system. This pumping action that is the CranioSacral rhythm can be felt at the bilateral structures of the body (hands, feet etc.) and along the spine. The therapist is able to assist your body in finding a better flow of the CS fluid by relieving restrictions, which restores and relaxes the entire body.

Sports Massage

Sports massage uses a variety of massage techniques designed to help your body feel freer and stronger. It is particularly great for those with active lifestyles.

    Energy Healing

Energy work encompasses a wide range of techniques and practices. It is rooted in the principle that body is bioenergetic and seeks to maintain balance. Energy healing, or energy work, seeks to restore, promote, and maintain health and wellness to all those elements by influencing and supporting the body's bioenergies. This session can also be done remotely.

A Variety of Stretches

Active isolated stretching; a sequence of stretching exercises that encourages flexibility by combining active stretching and reciprocal inhibition (RI) methods. The movements are performed repetitively until adequate progress has been made.

Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) is a stretching technique that can improve your range of motion. Many therapists use PNF to help people regain their range of motion after injury or surgery. However, it can also be used by athletes to improve their flexibility.

Individualized Sessions

Our sessions are individualized to your needs. It is not unusual to receive a combination of several techniques described above in one session. It just depends what is needed in the moment. It is somewhat intuitive.

Prenatal Massage

Pregnancy massage focuses on addressing the special needs of expecting women. Specially-designed massage tables, cushions, and side-lying postures are used to prevent putting pressure on the abdomen.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a type of gentle massage which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart.

Combo Massage and Energy Work

The time is spent half of the session on Therapeutic Massage and the other half on Energy Work. First half is Therapeutic Massage. We address whatever your needs are. The second half is Energy work. It is rooted in the principle that body is bioenergetic and seeks to maintain balance. Energy healing, or energy work, seeks to restore, promote, and maintain health and wellness to all those elements by influencing and supporting the body's bioenergies.
